wait, why is this a problem? It was Rotas press release and they def want as many people to know about this, Rota has absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about in this whole situation and anyone getting the word out to all the forums is just helping Rota keep these wheels off the market and doing them a favor, isnt that what Rota wants?

I agree, Rota has nothing to be embarrassed about with the whole situation. The more people that know the better. In the US it really isn't a problem. The imitation Rota wheels are generally seen in Asian countries.

If you knew the history with Mackin Industries and the type of crap they've pulled over the years (fake forum accounts slandering Rota wheels, pushing people to post broken Rota wheel images on forums, etc.) then you would have a different take on them asking a dealer of theirs to post this story. I doubt they are concerned with this press release warning people to stay away from "Rota imitations".
