A friend is a CHP.
Has people trying to stoplight race him all the time in his STi and Corvette.
He always lets the fool "win" & when he pulls up at the next light, shows 'em his badge & wiggles his no no finger at 'em.

yeh, my uncle is a chp in scla, he told me about the radar/lidar things, as well as about a couple of times that he had to issue citations while offduty to people acting like ***s. He says he's normally kicked back (although I never see him like that) and that he will only do it if someone is endangering others or is endangering themselves...

Usually for an unmarked car to pull you over you have to do something really bad. And if there is an unmarked car trying to pull you over, maintain proper speed, call 911 and ensure it is a real cop. If it is, pull over and epxlain the situation, if not follow their instructions.
I just found out in May that police in the state of Cali have no limit to there jurisdiction. An LA cop can give you a ticket in Sacramento. Also, they dont have to have any outside or inside lights on when sitting on the side of the road using there radars.
in the case of the Scion, no entrapment, just a citizen doing there job of reporting a crime. The CHP pulled the guy over, and the Scion was there as a witness.

Weird, my professor who's usually pretty knowledgeable about stuff like this says city cops have jurisdiction in their city, but they can hold you there until a cop that does tickets you. On the other hand, CHP have jurisdiction all over the state and county sheriffs in their county. If city cops have jurisdiction all over Cali, then why even have a car and office that is (insert city name)PD, and not just PD?

this is what the judge, the officer, and the legal office all told me. Its only in Cali though. I dont agree, but oh well.
basically, dont street race, dont speed excessively, and dont drive like a tool and you will be fine
