Best Sway Set for under $500?

I have allocated about $500 (Would love to pay less but this is my MAX) to the pursuit of great sway bars. From what I have gathered whitelines seem to be the best and the best thing to do would be to get a front one and a rear one and also endlinks.

My problem is that there are about a million different sizes of whiteline sway bars, so which two combinations of front/rear sways will give you the most benefit and bang for your buck?

What type of car do you have? STI, WRX, Sedan/Wagon etc.

What do you do with the car currently, what do you plan on doing with the car?

All of these questions can help set you on to the path of enlightenment.

Whiteline makes some good stuff so thats def a brand worth going with.

I'd go for the 22mm adjustable one w/ endlinks and hd mounts. As far as the front I would say get the Whiteline ALK instead of a front swaybar w/ endlinks.

Agreed that tires would be a good improvement... but what set of tires for $700 mounted would make that huge of a difference?

No harm in doing sways first. It's one of those mods you just put on and never think about again, and only get better the more suspension mods you add... unless you're hardcore into tweaking your setup for different driving situations, and change out your bars for track day.

I'd go bigger than 22mm up front. Look into 24, maybe even 26. Definitely get endlinks at the same time, Kartboy would be a good one to go with. For the rear, a 22mm bar would be good, again, with KB endlinks. It may seem like you're creating a front end pusher, but really you're correcting the camber curve, which will give you more grip up until the point of understeer (at which point it will understeer like a demon)... but you'll have more grip nonetheless.

Basically any over the stock RE-92's, He could do AS MUCH suspension modding as he wants but the car wont be able to grip any more then what the tires will allow.

Understood. My point is that if I wanted to upgrade tires as a MODIFICATION, and not out of necessity, I would spend a LOT more than 700.

I mean, good LORD, I just put new tires on my Civic at Costco, 14" Michelins were 100/tire! Mounted it was almost $450.

For a 500 dollar budget, sways are a pretty good investment, since their addition only gets more fruitful down the road. For a tire upgrade, I'd go up around $1000.

The thing is he's made like 3 or 4 threads asking about other parts as well, if he was to get all those things it would be a good 1k worth of parts.

but anyways to each their own, I personally don't like buying things before making sure the basics are done.

Tires make so much more of a difference. I did, in this order and I'm very happy:
13.5 lbs 17" wheels with Goodyear F1 GS D3
Whiteline 22 MM Adj Front Sways
Whiteline 22 MM Adj Rear Sways
Kartboy Rear Endlinks
Kartboy Front Endlinks

Next will be whiteline comfort ALK
then STi pinks with Tokiko D-spec (I do not believe the stock struts are "overdamped" enough to compensate for the pink rates)
