I love ribs, but I thought I should mention the worst ribs you can buy.
#1 = Chili's baby back ribs. OMG are they HORRIBLE! No meat, taste like crap, dry and I have no idea how they can sell that crap!
#2 = Tony Roma's ribs. Rip off, no meat, and taste awful!
The ribs paul brought to BAM were the bomb! The cooks were sooooo awesome!

Alton Brown's baked rib recipe is by far the best damn recipe EVER. Ribs bake in the over in a bath of win and like 10 seasonings, just the best ribs you'll ever have. Everyone who tries them when I make them is blown away by the uniqueness and texture of the meat, just doesn't get any better then that. If you can, do yourself a favor and make them, so good that I'd pay over $50 for a plate if served at a restaurant. No question.

Best ribs in the Bay (IMHO):
1. Henry's Hi-Life in San Jose (OMFNOM)
2. Ma Pinky's in San Mateo
3. Windy City in San Mateo
I am not saying these are the best hands down as I have not been to many of the places mentioned - but you can bet I will, starting with Mack's since it's in my town here... These food threads rock!
