Yeah I give a huge thumbs up to the DWS. I would put the pzero nero over them but you can't get them anymore I don't think.
Kumho ASX is a really good handling all season but it's not as good in the snow as the above tires.

What tire size are you looking for? The Bridgestone 960AS you mentioned do fairly well in the snow. I had them on my STi before but, still prefer the DWS I have now over the 960AS. Plus the difference in cost you save quite a bit going with the DWS
Edit-Looking at the reviews on tire rack the 970AS does better in the snow

I have the 970AS. They grip great in all the different elements i have driven in, Dry, Rain, Snow, Dirt/gravel. I have pushed them hard in the rain going over Hwy 9 and bear creek RD. I didnt push them in the snow but i also didnt feel the need to as i was going plenty fast for the road conditions and i never felt like the tires were not doing their job. in fact when i had to do a quick turn to avoid debris in the road they held onto the road nicely.
I do miss my RE11's on hot days when going through the mountains shoot even in the Rain the RE11s did a kick **** job.

I am using yokohama YK580's. Used for last snow season, which was moderately icy compared to snowy. They had good traction in snow, rain and dry weather..
I have pushed them (my pushing is going 0-5mph+ speed limit), and have remained very grippy.
On dirt, they are Amazing!

I stand by the general knowledge that the highest snow rated all season tire is going to be far worse in snow than the lowest rated dedicated snow tire. Everything is just too different, compounds, siping, everything is just too compromised on an all season. It's supposed to be the jack off all trades but master of none...and in Colorado I want a tire that's gonna master snow in the winter, and the awesome twisties in the summer.
So I have two sets of wheels/tires.
