Been a long time... and a question.

Man, it's been too long since I have been here. Well, I also couldn't get my old info for my login etc so I made a new one.

Hey all, my name is Jason, I live in Turlock and I roll a '01 2.5 RS. Blue Ridge Pearl with white powder coated stock rims.

I am the original owner since I factory ordered it when I lived in Tacoma, WA. It's been a great car and I have had fun owning and driving it. Busy with school, 2 jobs, girlfriend etc but I am glad I am back on the forums.

This past weekend I got a new intake and springs for my baby and I asked this in General forum and had lots of vies but no replies. I am hoping my Bay Area buddies will give me some info on future upgrades for my car. Here's a list of what I have done to the car so far.

ApeXi N1 Exhaust
AEM Short Ram Intake
Eibach Pro Series Springs
KartBoy Short Shift Kit
NGK Iridium Plugs
Falken FK451 Tires (ordered today, should be installed by Thursday!)

My question is where to go from here? I've seen lightweight flywheels, turbo kits etc. So I am wondering what else I can do to increase performace etc and what benefit each part will have.

Thanks for any info you may provide.

It depends on what would you like your vehicle to do.

Do you want it to go fast in the straight away or
do well on a road track?

I would dump the AEM short ram and get a COBB cai.

Charlie - the car is my everyday (and only) car so mostly just wanna do things to my car for a little added acceleration, speed, cornering etc. Just make it an all around beffier then stock car.

soundwave - don't really have a set amount. Not lookign to spend thousands and thousands at once to make it some drag race, autocross monster. So far I'e spent a couple hundred here, few more hundred here etc. Last I looked a Turbo for the car was going to run around $3500, so that is somethingI would obviously have to save for or get small loan for in the future.

jewpac42 - just got the AEM, and am happy with it. Biggest reason I got it is it is a slight performance boost and is California C.A.R.B legal. Cops been cracking down a bit more in my area as well as others and I don;t really wanna deal with that as much as I can avoid it. Already got ticketed and was forced to remove my front tint. (bastards!)

daredevil - hehe, I like the 2.5. Only reason I would swap it is if this one dies and I want to keep the car. Otherwise I will buy an STi

I would be very surprised if they gave you **** for a COBB CAI, or you could just not give the cops a reason to pull you over.

yeah, I haven't had too much trouble with being pulled over so far (besides for my tint of all things

) but even most of the smog places around here are being dicks about "visual inspections" and if intakes don't have the C.A.R.B. sticker or paperwork supplied, they won't do the smog job. I'd prefer to not have to take it to "dude" if I can avoid it, haha.
