haha that would be a speed trap...which is not a legal way of measuring speed in CA...if that ticket was in CA he'd be able to fight it...

140 mph over posted speed limit... awesome... hahahahah!!!

If he was in a school zone, it would have been 180 mph over posted limits.

Wasn't long ago that besides pacing you, a stopwatch was the only way they had to determine your speed, they still do it all the time when they patrol with airplanes.

Ah, Zoeb. Haven't you seen the signs, Speed patroled by aircraft. That's how they nail you. A stopwatch and the white markers on the side of the road. It's legal.

stopwatch seems accurate enough, but of course you have to trust that the cops are honest...though you do anyway

they should take a picture of him with a cop writing a ticket for 205mph in the foreground or something similar to hang on the wall... and let him go

Got nailed in Wastington by a plane. Patrol was waiting around the bend, and by then I was doing just 5 over.

They need a car to verify it. :P

I'm surprised that dirty little revenue hound copper could do that complicated math.

I thot speed traps were legal on freeways and highways, and in school zones? I thought it was anything set by the state, or on any road where they've done a survey and they set the limit at what 80% of the people do?

Thats why whenever I see a cop, or a sign that tells how fast your going, obviously on the side of the road, I go 5-10 mph over the speed limit to try to raise the speed limit does this not work?

I'm so gona get a motorcycle now and go there and get caught for going 210mph

Actually in CA, the CHP planes have to pace you and then covert knots to mph, accounting for wind speed & direction. No stopwatches are allowed.
