I'd risk to say that Beasties produce more originality than they bite ... more than the vast majority who refuse to take literary license in expanding what hip hop is and whimp out to producers and record sales numbers. What the Beasties have going is such an increadible loyalty in their fan base that they can experiment.

They have definitely matured. A long time ago, while on the Licenced to Ill tour, the Beasties were all about beer, go-go dancers and grabbing girls' crotches. Now they are fighting to Free Tibet. Funny.

I love them, there arent many if any tracks of theirs that I dislike. The anthology is an awesome mix of all their stuff even though it is missing some good stuff.
