Exclamation Bead/Soda Blaster in Bay Area?

Hi

I have this old set of wheels for my BMW that have crap paint on them and I want to repaint them.

I've tried sanding them, wire-brushing them, Dremeling them and even airplane paint remover, and I can't get all the damn paint off these wheels.

Does anyone know of a cheap place in the Bay Area who can bead blast or soda blast these wheels?

Thanks!

I don't know how cheap, but you might check with Maas brothers powdercoating in Livermore. They can get anything clean!

so would you say 80% is bare metal, and you need the nooks and crannies paint removed? or is it more like they need lots of paint removed?

I might be able to give you a cheaper price than a business would.

tell me theyre not mesh wheels lol jk but those have lots of hiding places for paint!

I'd say they're about 60% bare metal.

And yes, they're mesh wheels

There's a place in Belmont on Harbor right off 101 that does powdercoating and all that. I can ask if they do blasting and what it would run, got to stop by sometime before Friday.

I'm just going to paint, I want to go budget, remember the car was only $3500

Maas quoted me $80, but I really don't feel like driving to Livermore. I've found a few places in the City and the Peninsula, but I always get their ****ing voicemail and they never call me back.

I've got a shotgun. That should work for bead blasting!

The people I suggested charge $75/hr. - depends on how long it's going to take.

I haven't talked to Zoeb in like 5 years, do I have to give him a reach-around first?

Dang cant beat $80...thats what I was gonna charge. They probably have 1" blasters there.

FWIW my friend just brought his 39 Ford Coupe body to SRS Coating by San Jose Airport and they are blasting it inside and out along with all fenders for $700. They charge $140/hr. They could probably do a wheel set in 30 minutes.
