The guy in that truck is lucky as hell to be alive!

Anyone being directly affected by this? How's traffic everywhere that takes you out of SF? I imagine everything is jacked as hell but would like to hear from someone who is directly affected by this.

I hate the bay bridge. Ever since 1989 (Loma Prieta) I've had a fear of that bridge, and I try to avoid crossing it at all costs.

My neighbor's daughter (she's like 9 or 10) comes up to me and says "Daniel, Daniel!! Did you hear about the bay bridge? My dad says it has the swine flu!".

I started busting up like crazy!

Wait, I thought you worked in Oakland? Maybe that was back in the day! If I had the opportunity, I'd work from home too!

I drove over the bridge minutes before it happened! I was going into SF right before and drove right under that on the way back. On top of that cable snapping, there was a motorcycle crash 10 minutes up 80 from the bridge. They landed a helicopter on the freeway... it was an f-ed up commute to work last night for me... a 30 minute drive turned into a 2 1/2 hour.

Yeah my office is in Oakland but I've had the opportunity to work from home for the last year, so I'm taking advantage! My entire department is in North Carolina so no real point in going into the office. I'm pretty lucky.

was able to swoop to daily city and get my forza 3 limited edition (only non reserved copy I found in the whole bay), and drove back at like 3 or 330. Glad I didn't get screwed in that traffic.
