Today around 7pm, Central Expwy in Mt. View, going north. Silver 02-03 sedan with Bush/Cheney '04 stickers on both rear side windows. Made me ashamed to be driving a WRX... Figured that since you're so adamant about your political views, you probably post on this board.

 

STI DRIVERS DON'T TAKE OFFENSE

I've been noticing that many of the STI owners are complete dicks! What I mean is that they tend to be the ones that don't wave. It seems to me like they are to good to wave to some wrx. Has anyone else noticed this? Again, there has been STI owners that have waved and I'm sure there the ones that are on this forum But the majority do not.

 

for the most part, i agree. but there are also some exceptions. like there is a security guy at the Best Buy near my house who owns an STI. but everytime i come to the store he tells me how much he likes my car, which is just a white 04 wagon with gold rota formels.

 

I think there are a lot of new drivers out there that have never heard of Suby Love. New owners that don't have friends that own Subarus. Honda guys that are used to ******* each other at stop lights. Mustang guys that picked one up after reading how it smoked a Cobra, etc.... Some of them just dont know.

There's a 20 something girl driving a blue STI around Petaluma that all the local Subaru guys have waved at at one point in time or another. She never waves back. She probably thinks we're all stalkers. Hasn't made the Subaru connection.

I say, just keep doing it, it'll freak them out. :P

 

last night I went to go see spiderman at the oakridge mall, saw a silver 04/05 STi purchased from Irvine Subaru. Since we were both parked and just getting out of our vehicles maye he thought I was crazy, but I did the ghetto head knod to say whats up and he kinda just looked away.
The thing that made me laugh was when him and the 2 chicks with him were walkin up behind me, and some totally riced sounding car was speeding through the parking garage and the girls howled at the car. Given that the garage echos and makes the noise ambient, it sounded like the superest fart can muffler I've ever heard. Not to mention that it had to be honda.

I think this may have been one of those people you were talkin about. =\

I think its cool that the suby community is so friendly. It tripped me out the first several dozen times people waved at me, then I just started wavin back.

My girlfriend thinks we am weird for doing it though, but whatever. I told her she is just jelious that all the honda owners are not nice like us. ;P

 

I own an STi and wave, but I've owned some kind of Subie since '97 so I have Subie love that goes way back.

My fiance mentioned the other day that she likes driving the STi around since sometimes she just waves without thinking about it... but when she's driving her truck people just get confused.

 

Blue Bug-eyed WRX Wagon parked right beside mine at the Great Mall yesterday afternoon. Your car was nice and shiny while mine was a filthy mess!!

 

White STi parked in the those condo parking spaces off of Crawford in Fremont. Saw your car before while you where washing it but you gave me a, "I'm going to stab you" look.

Saw the most god awful WRX I've ever seen. Had altezzas, those morret headlights (?), massive skirts everywhere, and that Cusco vented hood. It was at the In-N-Out next to Mercado.

Also saw a WRB 04 while I was leaving.

 

Yellow WRX on Junipero Serra near Century 20 in Daly City around 3:15pm today and then we turned on John Daly Blvd. Let's see, car had some kit work, exhaust, and stickers. Couldn't see much else, lots of traffic. Asian guy with his GF in the passenger seat. You threw a rev and I threw a peace sign, nice car man.
