I think scientist/nature type people stay out there for brief periods of time when they are doing research etc. Like someone said earlier lots of great whites out there apparently.

The Farallon's produce the best rock fishing I have ever seen! If you like to fish take a charter outa berkeley its worth the ca$h.

Uh i thought there was hella nuclear waste there. Why would anyone go fishing of all things there? Hell, they'd prolly find like a mutated killer fish lol.
