Bay Area island?

so i was using google maps one day and i zoomed out and noticed this white dot, i thought it was my screen but zoomed in and its some islands. i dont know if im just stupid or does anyone else know about these islands? it looks like there are some buildings and roads on it.

I use to be able to see those island on clear sunny days from my middle school in the Sunset in SF an di was like WTF, is that China?!

thats where all the deep sea fishers go out to fish, right around there.

China? Japan? HAHAHA, i would have probably thought the same thing though, lol, comming from a person that tried to dig to china in his backyard, hahaha

I use to go on some fishing trips out there... but with all the new regulations on rock fish who knows if you can anymore. first time out it was dead calm out there it was sooo cool we were able to get so close to some of the rocks.

LOL! Isn't Japan west of us, not south?

I knew it was Santa Cruz I was looking at from Pebble Beach, but we used to pretend different sets of rocks on the beach were Hawaii, Tahiti, etc...

I see them when I fly from Eureka into SF. I never knew trhey were there until like 3 yrs ago and I gre up in the bay area.

My uncle still goes fishing out there and its also prime area for abalone.

The Farallon Islands has a large population of white sharks. I wouldn't want to do any diving for abalone out there.
