REALLY? Wow. I was at Mikuni's near the Arden Mall last week and it was out of this world. Why do you think it is not good? What's bad about it?

90% of the homes in Elk Grove are empty. How can the restaurants stay in business?

I can give them props for putting the right fish in the sushi, they topped out for that in the Sac Bee poll.

BUT, the tempura sushi comes out old and cold.
Too much STUFF on their sushi. Overwelming in a gross way.
Think warm cream cheese on sushi...gross.

hey, i did not say Natomas.

anyhow, every time after we get out of a club in Sacramento and want food, we end up at Lyons or Denny's. So if you're hungry at this hour in Sacramento, choices are limited especially on a Monday night. Try Taco Hell.

My all-time favorite restaurant is Suppenkuche in San Francisco - Hayes and Laguna. Another used to be Magnolia in the Haight - Haight and Masonic but they have been going downhill in weird ways... SOOO many awesome places and it's hard to pick a fav but there I just did. I also really like Ebisu Sushi and Tsunami Sushi.

baretta 22nd & valencia is really good as well. they have a great cocktail menu and food is just as good. i hear some of their bartenders are bartenders from bourbon and branch as well. they make some good absinthe drinks.
