Thumbs down Bay Area accident season begins!

After just witnessing two accidents involving two honda accords, two black suvs, two damaged rear driver side quarter panels, two nights in a row this weekend, I'd like to warn people to start watching your cars when parked on the street or in a public parking lot.

The first was definitely a hit and run - Friday night Nov. 3rd around midnite i think at the McCarthy Ranch/ Milpitas Square, during the bi-monthly Bubble meet- some Asian kids in a black BMW X5 trying to park into a spot too fast in front of Jujubi cafe. Their X5 smashed into a dark blue 98-01 4dr Honda accord and practically mangled the rear driver side qtr panel. We all heard a big crunch, then ran over to check it out.. I dont think anybody got the license plate number though. Anybody from the friday night meet know the driver of the accord?

The second was just last night, well early morning 1am, I was trying to sleep and I heard what sounded like a loud gunshot sound. I woke up and looked outside and saw nothing, but it looked like a black Ford Expedition or Explorer was driving away slowly. I found my neighbor's car in the morning with the rear driver side qtr panel destroyed. It could have easily been my Suby, my truck or my other family's cars. See the pic I just took! Ironically, it was my neighbor's Honda Accord and same place damaged (but much worse) hit by another black SUV. Same kind of accident, second night in a row! Talk about coincidence!

Luckily, my neighbor got a note with vehicle information and a phone number. So please be careful on the road and watch where you park!

Dam Jon thats crazy! You're gonna have to let me park in the driveway with your suby next time I'm over there. People always drive too fast down your street.

People who hit and run are in the same level as thieves. They need to die.

theres a lot of people that speed on that street you live on, what makes it even worse is that blind turn right next to your house. ive almost got hit when i was backing out of your house when a car was coming to fast the oppisite direction.

oh yes dis the season for shizzle

thursday i seen a girl get smacked HARD

a durango was traveling straight thru the intersection and some chick aproching from the oppisite way atempted to make a left hand turn, the durango had no choice and took her out! i was 2 cars behind and the durango sent the girls is300 right into the car infront of me leaving me unscratched. good thing i stoped and left myself alot of space or i would have gotten hit by the car infront of me

then the next day same intersection i saw a ford pickup on its side... seems it tryed to turn into the gas station and a suburban wiped him out.

mind you this is an intersection that i have never seen accidents at

so def. keep your eyes open and try to keep a distance between you and the next car at every light.

Speaking of accidents – and am I the only one constantly avoiding crap flying out of the bed of pickup trucks? WTF are those people thinking?

In the past two weeks while driving on 280 I’ve had to avoid 2 ladders, one big piece of plywood (which I did kindda hit and scuffed my front fender), a rake and just today one huge chunk of hard plastic (which I also hit). @!##$!#@

On friday my car was parked in the Public Garage on 4th St. in SJ. I came back to find a nice big gash across the left side of my rear bumper. Worst part about this is, I've only had my new WRX for 8 days

There a lot of ghetto people in the b/a and they have NO respect for anyone else's property. I'm sick of it.

Last week some girl in a pickup truck backed up into a Acura NSX parked on the street. When I saw her do it, I tried to run over (I was across the 6 lane street, three each way) to get her license plate #. During that that time, she got out of the car, saw what she did, then jumped back in and ran off. Was too far to read the plates...
