Yes!

It's very nice. Very new and fresh, but, it's a monorail. I just hate monorails! I like BART's 2-rail design. Just a better ride.

I agree that it's really old, i mean, it was made in the 70s, but given that, it's pretty good. I love it.

I road BART every day for over 7 years. Toss in about 6 months of doing caltrain to BART to MUNI transfers from gilroy to S.F.

I find it to be fairly reliable. It's usually on time and safe. It's fairly clean, easy to use and fairly priced.

Getting lost because the guy mumbles is ridiculous. Look at the HUGE signs all over the place. A once in a great while technical difficulty and not having time to transfer is something acceptable.

Sound like one of those people I heard freaking out because they were late for work because a guy got pushed in front of the train and was in 50 pieces now. Priorities.

Complain because they move too quick to get elderly transfered and complain because they're late... one or the other man. Don't get both.

I'd love to see it extended and upgraded but you're talking hundreds of millions of dollars and we just don't have it right now.

side note. Openning day was 09/11/1972. My grandfather shared the shovel with president LBJ on ground breaking.

Actually I tried to find some and I can't.

I did come across this in the process though...

There is a box of old newspaper articles and stuff I came across when I was a teenager at his house. I'm gonna see if I can find it and scan them all in.

i personally like bart, besides being a few minute late every now and then its always been great.

i have ridden many buses that were running way later and way less reliable than bart

Took bart last night from Millbrae to SF (powell) [was avoiding the HUGE traffic and parking issues]

Took 25mins. was never crowed, was pretty clean, the operator was easily audible, station stops were only 1min at most and we were hitting 70mph between stations.

It's held up VERY well for something that nearly 40 years old. Newer systems are nicer and more high tech, but cost more, and are Mono-Rails. Monorails shake and sway waaay too much. I like how stable Bart feels, like a train, being on 2-rails.

I like that unlike a train is picks up speed and slows down super fast.

Whatever you want to call it, I much prefer 2-rails vs monorails!

it rides on two tracks, has steel tires <yes, trains have wheels AND tires>, and is electric powered.
