He had 17.8M this coming year. He wants a long term deal. I'm a BD fan since his days at UCLA. But until this past year, he has not played all 82 games for a while.

I don't think so. His knees are now really suspect. Nobody's going to offer him that much for 1 year.

I think he tried to play the whole season for a superstar contract. But it was obvious he was playing hurt and gassing out near the end of the season (hence the bench time from the last game).

So if anything he's going to get less money but push for a longer term deal like 3 years or more.

I wouldn't be surprised if a team gets lucky and end up signing these guys for less in return for a chance to win a championship. Sort of like what the Celtics did last year.

he just wants a long term deal, at least 3 years $50 mil, which is actually very reasonable for him to expect. He played all games last year and long minutes too.
If gilbert can command 6yrs $126mil (21mil per year), davis should get no less than $17mil per for at least 3yrs assuming he's available to play a certain percentage of the games. gilbert's 26, davis 29, thats where the discount applies.

I think he's gone...Baron will be playing with Brand in LA..this was just a cop out for both so they can negotiate there contracts together so the Clippers would be able to pay for both...Both Baron and Brand will make about 15 million a year....Dayuuum!..B-diddy played us...we could of got Darrell Arthur..poor guy was sitting around forvever during the draft..

"FUDGE" Baron!!...

BREAKING NEWS: a friend of mine told me Baron Davis reportedly agreed to a 5 year deal with the Clippers. That sucks ***, davis was the man in oakland. So sad to see him leave.

Well this looks to be about a done deal. I can't hate B-Diddy on this one. He wanted to remain a Warrior till the end but it was clear that the front office didn't feel the same way. The writing was on the wall and Boom made the right decision (for himself).

Time to see what the young ones can do. I'm just preparing myself for another disappointing season. But who knows, like KG said "ANYTHING IS POSIBBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!!!!"

I think it was Elton Brand who called up Baron a couple days ago (after Baron said he would like to stay with the Warriors) and persuaded him to opt out so that they could play together.

Regardless, Baron's going to get boo'd at Oakland when he plays there just like he did when he left the Hornets for Golden State.

I'm just curious how Andris Beidrins will play now that Davis is gone. Since he got most of his points from doing nothing but pick and rolls with Baron.
