Walker: Much mahalos on getting the hot dog trailer, my bruddah.

Like Ray said, with us supplementing the hot dog guy, we've got 300 of y'all covered! I shopped like the Tazmanian Devil as Costco was closing.

Enough for 150 peeps, we'll have:
- burgers (2 doz are veggie patties)
- cheese + condiments
- variety of snack-pak chips
- cookies (Swiper! No swiping!)
- LOTS of soda & high-quality H2O (enough for like 3 beverages each)

We'll likely add in a li'l dealio of corn on the cob.

I think we're solid for such an 11th hour scramble. This is decent amount of food for a good ol' fashioned cookout!

Would you mind bringing a few bags of ice w/ the cooler you're loaning for the cause?

As I mentioned somewhere b4, just hang onto your receipt & we'll get ya back.

Thanks in advance, chica!

I feel like a loser, didn't see this thread till it was too late, at the bare minimum you'll get a tip for sure. But me n' my girl are rolling out at the *** crack of dawn to meet with the sac caravan, let me know if there's anything we can pick up??

I was just gonna post the need for a long extension cord--like 50 ft. I'm down in the South Bay now and did not anticipate needing more than I already loaded up when I left my pad in vallejo after lunch.

Agreed, i just don't have any real ones anything at all I could help with? I'm new to this whole thing and besides just wanting to experience it I wanna get involved with the people that make the wheels turn, help out, maybe help plan one day.

As far as other things we still need:

- several spatulas & tongs for grilling. Ya know, the extra long ones so we don't get burned.

I have a few sets back home in Vallejo. But as I mentioned, I had already left w/ my own load of Hammy stuff & was at a function in San Leandro when I got the word to go into full scramble mode for the food.

- change (1's, 5's & 10's) for entry tix, raffle tix, food, shirts n hoodies, etc.

I don't think Ray ever heard back from the member that volunteered to took him up w/ that. I'll try to find his post & PM him if it ain't too late.

OK, last one b4 I knock out. Hopefully, enough will see this before leaving in the morning.

We feel horrible about this crucial last-minute change. We know many will be doing BYO, but we did not want you to have to "fend for yourselves" so to speak. Plus, it's a certainty that people will show up w/ the expectation of purchasing from our previously lined-up food trucks.

As others have said, the $5 was solely for event entry + a couple freebies if you pre-paid.

With the new plan in place, we still have a solid menu for lunch available to buy on the spot! I'm not sure how much the hot dog guy's fare will be, but the meal we're putting together will be sold at cost pretty much. This nominal fee will be determined as soon as all the principal food contributors convene in the morning.

Some of y'all were asking, "How else could I help?" We truly appreciate your offers and welcome the helping hand here & there.

But the best way to "help" is by supporting the people who have stepped up to provide the food. And I don't just mean those who fronted some dough (Btw, I just happened to be a few minutes away fr Costco when I got word. Right place. Right time. right thing to do.), but those who will haul, set up, prep, serve, etc., too.

I know many of you were stoked on the trucks. I know I was. Now I'm stoked on the hot dogs. Crossin' my fingers that he brings some of his specialty stuff as well -- i.e. hot links, bacon-wrapped hot dogs, etc.

Sorry, this dragged on... but bottom line:
Support the hot dog stand & support the burger plate!

'Cause every little thing gonna be all right...

Much mahalos in advance, y'all.
