BAM 2014 Critsizam/Feedback/Props/Vent Thread
Alright ladies, let hear it.
Keep it to BAM 2014 event only. What you liked, what you didn't like, what you may have wanted instead?
Thanks, and all feedback is welcome. Just remember though, this is 100% volunteer based.

Needs more campfire at night. And make/ suggest people to enter the show, I saw at least 8-10 cars in the parking area that are "show cars". Besides that it was awesome and better than last year

Well here's the thing. I had three people try to register day of and were declined. Some people enter for fun. Some people enter for reals. BAM is bam so. I tried to get 10 Bugeye owners and a handful of legacy owners to register. Only one to come through in the end was Joe (Gteaser)

Overall a great event and it served its purpose... Suggestion for more activities... Carnival games, bounce houses, live DJ, entertainment, models, maybe get Off the Grid food trucks. Try hosting a BAM at a fairground make it all day all night thing.. This is probably over board but just thinking of how this meet can take up a few notches. I'm from LA and in my teens when import drag racing was popular they had an event at LACR called Battle of the Imports which was a big deal and those events kept me interested in car culture/ enthusiasm

Off the Grid food trucks. Nope. Tried food trucks. Won't happen again.
Carnival games. We've done it and it is something we've talked about.
Models. We had models volunteer their time last year. And a photographer. Deal was... get your picture taken and donate to the charity. NO ONE DONATED. But if someone wanted to try it again I'd be open to it.
Fairgrounds would be fun but would drive up costs quite a bit and alter the vibe.
Good input though. I'd like to see some tunes one way or another.
The food truck thing sounds like a great idea but there's all kinds of hoops to jump through with the park. Permits and what not. Each truck has to clear the parks, blah blah. And the experience I had with them at Hammy 2 years ago was terrible. They all flaked... within the last 3 days before the event. The last one flaked the morning of the event. We managed to get an amazing hot dog vendor to come up and save us. I won't mess with food trucks again. I kid you not I came very close to violence.
But that's just me. Other folks on the team might have different ideas. That's why all input is great input.
