Looks like I won't be able to make it .

Had some family emergency on the wife's side and she has to fly out to Seattle on short notice. Combined with our tight budget with the baby coming means I'm going to be sitting at home eating ramen instead of shredding with you guys.

Have fun everyone and hopefully I can make it to the next one!

I know most of the desolation wilderness and tahoe basin terrain fairly well. If there are any specific hikes you are thinking of doing I'll tell you what I can about the area.
Most of the riding I do is close enough to catch a lift or a bus back up because its easy. I've also spent plenty of days snowshoeing or hiking to great spots in the area. No sled yet
I'm always down for a day or even overnight hike to find some untouched goodies! I was hoping to do Tallac this year.
Just let me know!

I dont know about doing the drive Saturday morning. I'm driving up that morning and headed straight to Heavenly to ride. I don't have a season pass so gotta make my $80 lift ticket worth it.

Yeah I think that afternoon drive would be the best bet.
Hopefully we'll get some sunshine!

Barnes & Noble in Fairfield would be a good spot to Meet up for all of us who want to caravan together Sat morning. It's off the Travis Blvd exit.

Cliff Notes:
Where: Barnes & Noble 1600 Gateway Boulevard Fairfield, CA 94533
When: 0530 1/8/11

Any objections to said plan?!?!
