BAIC Brake Opinions

Ok guys,

I've been doing a little research on brakes for the last couple of months, and the three kits I've been focusing on are Stoptech, Rotora, and Wilwood. Many of the people on the boards seem to like all three, but when talking to some of you BAIC guys, I feel a lot of negativity towards Rotora... Why?!

Help me pick a good brake kit - tell me which kits (out of the three above) you like and dislike and WHY.

Thanks,

Chris

I heard the wilwood kit is no good.

Get the Stoptechs.

My vote is for Stoptech. They are a good deal and proven to work very well. Nobody fades them- nobody. As for Rotora, I think the problem is more that nobody knows about them and they are marketed a s"budget" upgrades, which never gets good initial reviews among Subaru enthusiasts.

my friend has the big rotor kit on his 2g gsx and his cars braking is just alright. Ive heard that the aem stuff is just for show and doesnt offer alot of perofmance.

Another vote for stoptech. I haven't heard many good things about wilwood.

Car and Driver tested the Stoptechs against some other way more expensive choices: http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caran..._braketest.xml

I have the Prodive (Alconn) brake kit and they work great. They cost a bit more than the Stoptechs though.

all i can ask is that if you're ready to spend enough of your hard earned (hopefully ) money on a set of big brakes for your car, that you PLEASE do the research to find out which one best suits your needs and which ones just flat out are NOT a good choice.

on a separate note, does anybody here know how the AEM kit differs from what is known as the H6 rear brake upgrade?

go for the stop techs with a decent set of pads.. Depending on how you drive of course (the pad choice not the brakes)
