That sux about the service you received, i agree about Americas tire being the place to go, they have always done me good and they dont care when im watching them work. One thing I have learned though is that most places arent too big when you bring in your tires because they dont make much money off you, so maybe thats why the manager was such a jerk.

Sorry to hear about that... The Big-O here in Davis seems to be pretty cool. They techs are usually pretty friendly and they've even done small things for me for free before. I guess it depends on management.

+1 for America's Tire
In SoCal, I had hundreds of choices where to go. In the end, I stuck with America's Tire Company.
Reason: Customer Service and attention to detail. Tape weights, torque specs, tire pressure specs, etc.
Now that I'm up here, I haven't found a good tire shop, but thanks to this thread, I'll know where to go. The place in Santa Rosa where I used to go (thinking they knew what they were doing) has proven to me that they are a bunch of untrained hacks who know less than I do about working on tires, wheels and alignment. Yes, I could name names, but...
I don't think Valley Tire and Brake would like me to mention their name. They don't warranty their alignments, they sell everyone a camber bolt, and they don't install the bolt right so you risk a major suspension failure on the way down to a certain shop in Novato ( _I_ Motorsports ) to get the issue taken care of properly.
