I knew I'd be back sooner or later. Long story short, we decided to get rid of the family car ('06 Mazda 5) as this economy has hurt us. Plus we don't want anymore monthly payments. I'm sick and tired of payments.
So over the weekend I found this '95 Legacy LS on CL:
95 Subaru Legacy LS Sedan 4D in good condition. Midnight blue. Clean title, never involved in any major accidents. Has a scratch on front bumper and some superficial scratches from trees and stuff. Driver's seat has some wear on leather seat. Runs well, recently fully serviced.
-Current mileage: 110,500
-All wheel drive
-Automatic, 2.2L engine, 4-cylinder
-Power steering
-Leather seats
-Dual front airbags
-Air conditioning
-Power windows
-Power door locks
-Sun roof
-Cruise control
-Cassette player, radio
-CD player
-Back seats fold down for more trunk space
KBB value $3,005. Asking $2,800 OBO.
Email me if you are interested. Can show the car around Palo Alto.
So I figure, sounds good, let's check it out. Went over yesterday, the wife liked it. The car runs and looks good for a '95 plus mileage is low. It's an east coast car, been here for 8 years AND 1 owner !! Car has no rust whatsoever (that's not rus on the right fender. Reflection of the car parked right next to our stall). Another thing that shocked me, it being in the EC for 5 years.
So tonight we took her home :

Have to detail it and oil change,etc.etc.

Thanks all.
Gas mileage is about what Kev said, 26 highway. About the same as our Mazda 5.
Sorry,Kev. Only way I can do that is if and when the wife goes out of town.
She's not big at all on modding. Hates it when I go autocrossing.
Jon, nice to hear from you!
