Back from LA/jDMapan // General Question
Hi everyone.... grew up here in boring (sorry
SJ... after about five years of living in LA, I've moved back... there's a pretty good chance some of you have seen me, as I do wave to just about every impreza I see (although there are a lot more it would seem here in the bay area)... and I've been back for about two weeks now =)
This is also after spending about two months living in japan *sigh*
Anyhow, I was wondering what shop people recommend for general work on their car.... oil changes and the like. Right now I have a problem with loose wiring in a harness for projector lights that makes one side light up orange (if i manage the right jiggle, it turns on full strength, so I know there is a loose connection somewhere).
In short, a cool shop where many enthusiasts go, can chat with workers/owners to learn more about cars while you wait, and to get some minor mods done, as well as regular service... unless Steven's Creek Subaru's maint. side got their act together?
よろしく~ & thanks ^^

Stevens Creek is still crap.
Check out Gruppe-s, GB, LIC, FLI for shops. I think Gruppe-S is the closest to SJ.
I know there are more, just don't remember off hand.

I'd recommend Auto HQ in Redwood City. Kevin, who basically does all the work, is ASE certified in every catagory and was a master technician at Carlsen Subaru. They do not sell any parts, only service so can give you unbiased information on any mods.
thanks for the replies ^^ Keep them comin' if anyone else has anything to add, please...
btw, i should have clarified, went i said shop, i meant like a tune up place... ,ore for installs and service and not so much for buying parts ^^
