Hopefully everything went well with your LASIK, Matt. The best $ I ever spent was on that! I can see in the morning.
Anyway, I need to be alot more smoother and direct when I drive. It didn't feel very stable, but that sweeper was too much fun!

Rob : when I walked it, Charlie Davis had gone thru the course with that "Billy Goat" thing (the sweeper that uses the big fan and 10HP lawnmower motor). However, he only cleaned off the course on the parts that were "on-line"
The nature of GGF though is that after a while cars simply running on the surface will dig up more "crap" and send it to the parts of the course that are just a little off the racing line.
I'll say it's gotta be interesting running there in a go-kart. Normally with a cart you're running a good bit different (tighter) line than the cars.......no idea what Pete, Jake and Vernon did on Sunday but doubt they were that far off the car line!
Separate topic, but if y'all are interested I compiled my video (2 runs, first with a spin and second my fastest.....which still had plenty of places to "clean up" my driving) from American AutoX Round 10 last night and put it online. File is here, and is 40 Megs. It won't be online for that long, so get it now

Matt,
Hope all went well. All the way in BC, huh ? Wow.
Ed-Thanks for the info. Now I know about GGF. That's what it was. Being we were third group, all that "crap" was out on the surface by then !
Am downloading your vid now. Thanks for sharing.

Leo : those 2 tires should be pretty close (given the sizes you have) at GGF. I'd be inclined to stick with the Azenis, but don't think you're giving up much on one compared to the other.
That said : next year, go wider
. I can tell you that the 235/40R17s on 17x8s definitely stick better

Gagan : noticed that. Wonder when the last time was that TWO pairs of finishers in a class were each separated by only 1/1000th of a second?
FWIW, at a finish speed of 40 MPH (should be pretty close on this track), 0.001 seconds is approx 3/4" (yes, three-quarters of ONE inch)!!!
