Autocross on Alameda

Hey guys, I'm new to the area of Alameda. Just moved up from San Diego. I was going for a jog by the old Navy base on Alameda and noticed autocross going on on the base. I talked to the guy at the gate and he said it was the Porsche auto club autocross. I drag raced my WRX in San Diego at RaceLegal at Qualcomm Stadium and I am looking to get involved in Autocross while I am here. Do any of you know a contact I can get in communication with concerning autocross for Subaru's? Any info would be appreciated. I tried Google and did not come up with anything. Thanks.

They have the schedules and info on there!
Hope to see you at one of the events. SCCA runs Sundays normally and AAS is Saturday and Sunday.

There are a lot of clubs that auto-x.

Www.baautox.com and www.sfrautox.com to start.

The biggest club is the SCCA. The next event is the 13th at Oakland. A lot of fellow Subaru owners run with the Scca.

Unfortunately only Golden Gate chapter PCA is allowed to AutoX there (Alameda)... Some clubs tried to get in (GGCBMWCCA, GGLC...) but were denied Officially you need to own a Porsche to drive with this particular chapter but some people managed to do it and they are not Porsche owners.

I was noticing that. I live right next to there and it would be super convenient to be able to autox there. I start looking around and see what I can get into. I really appreciate the information.

If you're not a PCA member, you need to have a PCA member refer you and talk to the PCA autox chair to approve a non-member to participate.

SFR SCCA has most of their events at the Oakland coliseum, which is still close to you.

Have you found anything out? I'm super interested in Alameda auto-x since my buddies live there and would love to auto-x on Saturdays since I'm busy on Sundays.

Yeah, the autox on Alameda is the Porsche auto club, and the Subies and Evos that race there had permission from knowing the club members.

^ Only PCA is allowed to autox at Alameda Point. If you're not a PCA member you need to have a referral from a PCA member and ask for permission from their autox chair to go to their events.
