You know, I've always wondered about all season tires. They don't stick as well in the dry for sure, they don't seem to stick any better on damp pavement, and in snow I wouldn't chance it and would put chains on. So the only place all seasons would be noticeably better would be standing water, and even then, full tread summer street tires usually have a couple of grooves cut in for that too.
I guess it'd be different if I lived in snow country though.

I ended up at 48.9 on my last run in the Integra...third was a 48.4 but took out the last apex cone before the finish (while dang near spinning the car ). Charlie ran a 48.7 in the Integra, then clicked off three mid/low 47.xxx times in Cliff's Civic in fun runs despite never having driven Cliff's car before .
Charlie bought an 89 Civic Si last night (yes, seriously!), and a Japan-built one no less. Car does need some work though.
Sorry, no video this time. Got a new microphone but didn't have a chance to wire it up. Should have it done in time for Marina. I suspect that Charlie, Chloe and I will be in the Integra thru the end of Slush while getting parts for the 89 Civic.

You STS folks are fast. =) My best was 47.9xx and all it took was awd and twice the amount of hp to do it. My last run was going to be faster, but then I blew it and nearly lost control of the car towards the end.
I actually have an unprepped 1990 si i use as a daily driver. Fun little cars they are.

The only thing is that most (not all) of the STS Honda and Acura cars were promptly put back on trailers and towed back, while I drove mine car back home in perfect comfort
EDIT: Corrected general number of cars I thought were put on trailers

Are you serious about the CARB legal stuff? No way they were screaming down the track having full cats and stock exhaust systems, but I can be wrong about that too...But whatever the case is, they were insanely fast. I wanted a ride in one of them.
