Man, that was one frustrating course! One of those where I KNEW there was more time out there......but I just couldn't find it . And Rus beating me by a quarter second moved him ahead (barely) in the race for 4th place overall in STX.

I see that both Chris and Rus had their fastest runs on their FIRST runs. I'd guess they both experienced the same thing I did.

So, anyone going to the NASA event this coming Sunday June 8th at Marina? I'm going, but in the Impala SS (in ESP) this time (I need to get some autox seat time before the "Impala Nationals" in mid July). If anyone wants a tail-sliding RWD ride, just let me know

Details on the event are available by CLICKING HERE. ESP and Street Mod are in the afternoon, while DS, DSP, and GS are in the morning (NASA doesn't run STX, so you just enter another class).

Thanks man! I almost gonna miss this one. I didn't get any notice and thought they are not going to have any this year. I'll try my best to show up for it.

I did horrible on that course. My best time was actually the last run I had. But being the first group on course helped that alot. The ground didn't get as hot. But I just couldn't compete with those more modified Civics. I really need some Coilovers and stiffer suspension for that location. I can hold my own at Candlestick or Oakland, but I really suck at Marina. Oh well, I am still in 2nd for now. Plus I will be missing the event on the 29th. That really hurts my points total. Oh well.

This course's cross over freaked me out for the first two runs. In the back of my mind, I was affraid that I was somehow going the wrong way (wouldn't that just suck?). After I got over my phobia, I could fly through the mid section into the saloms with some cool oversteer. Even on my best run I was plowing like fat pig through the second to last corner.

sounds amusing, I think I'll show up at the next event. maybe I will have the LSD in by then. In the mean time I am going to get rid of my JIC's in 4-6 weeks for a set of these:

Most likely not going to do my Auto-X results much good, but at least dirt roads will be a posibility now! And all those bumpy backroads! WOOT!

That was an interesting course. My first run, I was having bad understeer in the tight corners, and oversteer in the fast parts. I got the oversteer figured out, but then it caused me to go way too fast on the last section where I kept losing any gains I made earlier in the course...
