AUDT: I-Club Track Day?
lol yeah there is big debate on NCE about what track to go to for the next track day, lots of ppl seem scared of sears and laguna, but I think it just teaches better self/car control
T-hill can be very unforgiving, I think the generous run-off areas really inspire false confidence and you can easily end up on your lid if you go off-track sideways at high speeds, and there are 4-5 places where I can hit triple digits there

Yeah, I'd love to go hit the track.
T-Hill does give you confidence with no walls. There is a tiny ditch in the middle though. I went off track once, and hit that thing. I had to redo all my suspension. Insurance paid!

I am just going to put it out there but the main problem that I saw, especially with talking to the NCE organizers was that 1) people are flaky and 2) finding enough interest to effectively organize an event. Bonni said that if we can get 45 people to commit, we could get an exclusive track day. Personally, I don't think we can get 45 participants. Maybe half of that.

Just pick an event and tell everyone to sign up for it. If you get enough interest it will basically be a "suby only" event anyways. That would be much easier then trying to actually organize your own exclusive suby track day.

Best thing to do is just get all interested i-clubbers to all sign up early for an event with a good track organizer like HOD or Unlimited Laps or TEAM, etc & let them do the rest..show up & park together & sit back and enjoy!!
mid week events are usually cheaper & less crowded!

Just so you all know . . . I already sent in my request for 2009 dates with Thunderhill. They will not likely get back to us for a while, as scheduling for the year is an apparent nightmare.
At this time, we do for sure have December 12th @ $150 (off-season pricing). Yeah, it'll probably be cold, but in years past we've not yet had rain! We had fog once, but the price was still right. I have not announced this event yet publicly (well, until now), so it could be a Subie day I suppose. Most folks in college are on winter break by then, too, I'm pretty sure. So there is one option. Our Reno-Fernley event (Memorial Day weekend) this month is already pretty full, but you can go for that if you want -- we still have quite a few advanced and novice group openings.
I'm here to do everything I can to host a Subie day . . . I just need committment (and word back from that track . . . I will email them right now).
