AUDT: I-Club Track Day?
Hi all.
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a track day. Blue Blurr posted a huge list of events this year. I figure we could choose an event that we could all attend. Would be cool.
NorCalEvo just did one back a few weeks. That was awesome. Lot's of track time, good people, lots of fun. An event that we can all participate in would be fun. And with enough early notice, we can all start putting money aside.
What do you guys think?

Not sure, but I would assume it would be cool. I am not trying to plan an event or anything. I figure that a bunch of us can all participate in an event somewhere. I'd say bring a helmet. You might be able to ride along with someone. I got a chance to ride in a few cars and that was fun.

Maybe we can go through the list and choose days that people are interesting in.

Yeah. Doesn't really matter. I'd say keep it in NorCal. I think Thunderhill is the best for most of us. Trying to accommodate those of us that have little or no track experience. I hear that Infineon or Laguna Seca can be unforgiving.

lol yeah there is big debate on NCE about what track to go to for the next track day, lots of ppl seem scared of sears and laguna, but I think it just teaches better self/car control
T-hill can be very unforgiving, I think the generous run-off areas really inspire false confidence and you can easily end up on your lid if you go off-track sideways at high speeds, and there are 4-5 places where I can hit triple digits there

Not sure about dates. It really isn't up to me anyways. I figure, as a group, we'll choose one track day that most of us can attend.
April 4th, with T.E.A.M. is a possible one for me. Really short notice though. Also, the NorCalEvo peeps are doing Hypermeet II down in Buttonwillow. I don't have the school schedule for next year yet, so i don't know what it'll be like.
