In downtown SJ, around the corner from La Vic by SJ state is Iguana's, they call them Nacho Fries. Like already stated any decent taqueria that sells fries will do a Nacho Fries.

Meh, lacking, seriously lacking if that's what they call good IMHO. THe spot in Alameda's the best I've had this side of Mexico and San Diego. If ya go there try one of their burritos, skip the avacado/guacamole and get their enchilada sause to dip it in instead.

Edit: I stand corrected, but correct yours, MY HOUSE after a trip to MiPueblo, simply b/c cocina de mi esposa Latina es la bomba. Between those and her red-rice and Pozole I'm set for life.

^That place sucks and is overpriced.

The lower tier taco shops in San Diego like Sombrero, Super Sergio, etc. are still better than the "best" ones in Norcal.

Haha, I thought we were just naming off places near by.

Yeah, I lived in SD for 3 years for school. Best carne asada fries come from:

-Vallartas
-Lolitas
-Tacos el gordos

None of that rigoberto BS

Same here. I lived on Mira Mesa, so it was a mile walk. Good for when you're drinking.

at the nuthouse??

I've only had the mexican food once (a few years back) and I don't remember being particularly impressed. That being said, I wasn't drunk, and everything tastes better when you're drunk. I'll have to go give it another try one of these times...
