Attn: German Castrol users!

Hey guys. My name's Nick and I work at O'Reilly Auto Parts in Castro Valley (East Bay). Recently I've put in a request to stock ze German Castrol in my store. So if anyone in the area is having difficulties finding GC, rest assured. I have you covered. Price is $8.99/qt...a bit high, but that's expected with "the oil of the Gods" (my friend with a GTI said that lol). Hit us up!

Good oil, but funny thing is... I run 15w40 Rotella in my M3 and ran Rotella T6 in the Subaru... Now that is oil of the Gods LOL

Castrol GC is awesome oil and kudos to you for stepping up and helping out members!

Thank you! Yea I personally use Motul 8100 x-cess 5w40, but have heard of GC being a popular choice amongst Subarus and VWs as well.

Yeah, German castrol or Total is what I run in my STi. I tend to burn all other oils at the rate of 1 qt every 1,500ish miles.

Rotella, Mobil 1, and Royal Purple were by far the worst in all 3 of my Subies. Not sure why people like these.

For Mobil 1 and RP it's probably due to the hype (opinion). Rotella is actually decent from what I've seen. I just feel uneasy about putting what is essentially a diesel oil in the Rex.

RP530 wasnt horrible for me....Im on my first rotella T6 round right now and its ok.....I really want to try something better @ an oem weight tho and not as expensive as RP. I think the heavier weight gives more resistance when cold and barely turns over at super cold temps.
Never had that problem with royal purple tho I think rp shears to a 20 weight.
