What's a Justy? Dude what? Seriously... It's a Subaru. 3 cylinders of pavement pounding power and on-demand 4X4. I wanted one when I was a little kid, and found this '91 w/ 49k original miles so I couldn't pass it up. It's a great commuter - 73hp woop woop. We fit 7 people in it Tuesday heading to my fav bar. I can't drive the thing without busting out laughing.

 

yups reid (akira-r on here) is one of my really good friends. i actually talked to him a lot about the suby before i decided to buy it since i know he loved his but sold it...and hes the reason im on here!!! he stole my nessa tho

youre the one that had that car before??? wow...i can only compliment you on your organization skills...i think the words i used were....WOW....someone as **** as i am when it comes to car parts!!!! never has anything been brought to us so organized, labeled and ready for install.....besides the few missing pieces and the odd oil pump issue and the fact that me and aki especially never get along with reid/nessas cars its was great clean too!!!! i was soooo jealous when that car rolled up on the tow truck!

and i dont remember hearing your car....but then again i was driving the lude so i couldnt even hear myself think...im surprised you couldnt hear/smell my car haha

 

There are a ton of idiot WRX drivers on the road now. Back in late '01 and '02 the Suby community was alot tighter and overall were friendlier. Now I see a bunch of morons behind the wheel.

One time I was on Thorton in Fremont driving my EVO and this little filipino kid in a lowered, debadged white bugeye wagon comes flying out from a plaza and onto the the road right in front of me. Then cuts across all the lanes and gets in the left turning lane. Pissed me off. I just shook my head at that loser. Guess he had to show off his L337 driving skills.

Haha... ****. You shoulda seen everything when it was in my garage, all in labelled totes. Thanks for the compliments. That car was a beast and a dream - I was just plagued with bad luck (and a friend who fat-fingers buttons on EVC-IV's but that's another story). The oil pump was the only thing I didn't replace, but he knew it needed a new one. I even bought a new oil pan and all new stainless bolts for everything... How was that genuine Toyota brand new 3S-GTE - I am told that was the last factory OEM shortblock available! I got screwed over 2 JDM engines waiting to get that car going and just ran out of time/money. A friend and I searched and searched for that car (1 of 92 in the states) and paid top dollar for it, then unleashed loads of cash to make it what it is. The brakes and the turbo setup were around $10k all told.... All I have left is memories and a vid of the last outing at Sears. I'm glad Reid got it because he's a really nice guy and seemed really stoked about it. I had offers for more $$ but those people all wanted the car to harvest parts, I knew Reid was going to breathe life into it again. Youre nessa.. Haha. Sounds like a story there. She was really nice too.

My car sets off about 2 alarms every time I roll into work. This is down from 6 with the new magnaflow/resonator system since I took off the ScoobySport. Ha..

 

Whoa.. I think I know that van. My dad's friend has a place up there with a collection of old and tiny Japanese cars. He has one of the first (chain drive) Civics.. His name isn't Alan though, maybe he sold it. Have to check on that. I would love one of those vans... Like a big shopping cart!

I need to replace the struts and the front axles on the Justy and then it's Hollister time. This thing is hilarious, replete with the Subaru plaid interior.. The struts are so tiny I could fit one in my lunch tote. When I got the new ones I was in tears laughing... "Look.... it's... a strutling... bwaaaaaaa....."

I think the new Justy's after '94 are made by Suzuki.

 

I'm still trying to get more info. My mom wasnt in the car, it was a friend of her so any info I get will be passed through two middle aged women and therefore very general and lacking detail
