So we're set on Silver subie's design then? I don't see anyone else doing anything, so I'm smacking down the hammer and deciding to use his design!

All we need is a vectorized version of the logo, as well as the vectoized vendor logos to put on the back or sleves.

The list of vendors is as follows:

GST Motorsports
LIC Motorsports
dbTuned
SubyDude
Speed Element
EQ Tuning
Huck G Designs
FLI Motorsports
(Sigma Pi's co, not sure if they are in or out)

That looks like it's going to be it for now, not sure if anyone else is going to join us at the event... I know some small vendors wanted to be part of it, but they never got back to me.

I have someone that can do the shirts for us, shirts will cost in the area of like $12 or something... Hoodies will be like $25ish. Sound good?

Well, we can vote, but it's just going to be the 5 car design... We can wait, but no one is bringing anything to the table. I want to get this rolling and hate waiting till the last min. Looks like Im going to be doing the shirts myself this year since no one else has stepped up which means a lot more work.

Yeah, guess we can wait till june 20th to see if anyone else steps up to this dead thread... That gives me about 3 weeks to do all orders and everything, then they go to the printers. Thats cutting it closer then I'd like because I like having lots of leeway

+1 for more time. I'm hoping any talented artists who may only JUST NOW be finishing their spring semester, might now have the time to toss their hat in the ring.

It's not that hard to get shirts printed. You find the printer you're gonna go with and send them the files. Done. Shouldn't take more than a couple days to get the shirts done. Leaving 2-3 weeks is plenty good.

I think both of the designs that silver submitted are good with a little tweaking. And I think that given a couple more weeks I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple more worthy designs pop up. But no one is gonna work on them if this kind of thing happens. Frankly it's why I haven't submitted anything. It's like this every year.

^^^

Aren't you a graphic designer? Why did you submit a design?

It's not the matter of getting the shirts done, it's a matter of getting all the pre-orders from people... The shirt place told me that 3 weeks in advance for that many shirts would be ideal. We're looking at over 100 shirts easy.

Paul, Awesome design! It is definitely strong, graphic, simple! Here is my take on colors(keying off of your orange), and type design. I was envisioning black tee-shirts and/or hoodies if we only had one color choice:

Just as I predicted, silverbullet wins the BAM shirt contract The design is very nice and I'm sure that a few minor touches would make it perfect (just cleaning it up or doing whatever artists do to make something final).

Congrats to silverbullet, you did a great job at designing the official BAM shirt design! Thank you so much at volunteering your time and effort to BAIC, your design will be seen by everyone and people will proudly display your work on their bodies!

I wanna get this moving and get the order into the shop so they can have extra time to do their thing and that way we're not pushing it to the last min.

First thing we need to do is get you all the vectorized vendor logos, I think we'd be more successful if we both contact the vendors to get the said logos because it's difficult to get through to them sometimes and we have a better chance at getting it done the first time and not having to contact them multiple times. Ive done this in the past and it works out better.

Second thing is I need a final production model of the shirt that I can give to the shop, it has to be as clear as possible so that there is no mistaking it, unlike the year before last where the guy that did the shirts screwed it up soooo badly. Instead of using the final production design of the shirt, he used the VERY rough draft of the shirt logo which looked almost nothing like the final product.. Not only did the design look like a 10 year old drew it, but it was 1/4 the size of the final product! Lets just say that I dont want that to happen ever again!

Third, I need to take orders for the shirt which will run for a certain amount of time so that we can give the order to the shop early enough for them to do their thing and have some time left over, I hate waiting till the last min. I'll have a price and we'll display the shirt, then take peoples pre-paid orders

Fourth, we give the order to the shirt shop, the make the shirt and I verify that everything is right...

Fifth and final, we give the shirts to the booth girls that will be at the entrance to the event, the same girls that give give out tickets and sell raffle tix. When you enter the park you just give them your name, they look it up on a sheet and give you the shirt that your ordered. End result is a happy member with a quality shirt with a great design! What could be better?

But first, I need to ask the people which they like better, the white or orange design. It's not just a matter of color choice, it's also a matter of price. The more colors involved, the more it costs in the end. I think it's $1 or so more per shirt with an added color. I don't know how much the shirts will cost exactly, but it's going to be in the area of around $13 bucks or something, maybe $15 TOPS, but I think it will be around $13 for a regular shirt, and $14 for an orange one. I got a price quote for a certain amount of shirts, but it varies depending on how many we get, so I don't know exactly right now, but I'll find out and you guys will be the first to know... Don't forget that those prices are NOT concrete and a ROUGH estimate, but there's no way it will be more then $15, if it is, I'll find a new place.

Starting a thread NOW.

Booth babes would be better. Think E3, Tokyo Auto Salon, etc.
