oh man, please save us Suby Dude, Huck, or whoever designed the 06, 07, 08 BAIC Meet shirts!!!

 

The best shirt to date was the one Marc (owlboogie) created in 06 I think it was. It was the one with all the subies going up Mt Hamilton and at the top was a little observatory. That is still one of my fav shirts that Ive ever owned... So much sentimental value attached! He even had MY GC8 in the design... The one with the rally grapics with the number 9 on the door. I wish I had another one, mine is all used and abused.

 

The thing with design (that you're doing pro bono for fun) is that if you're happy with it, that's all that matters, regardless of what anyone says.

 

wow...this is something I always had in mind too, but wasn't able to find all of the monograph for all car ( so I give up...haha)

I know nothing about illustration, so let me ask you this; Were those cars pre-drawn? Or did you draw them just for this shirt? I'm assuming that you got them from somewhere else, but if it's the latter then I'm blown away that you did that in such short time!

 

I agree and thats the best advice for everyone participating.

I have my reasons for sitting this out, but they're not going to help design a shirt so theres no reason to potentially derail this thread with that.

 

What about instead of typing out all the text using shortened versions of the original words, like for example:

___BAM 9___

North Bay 8.9.9


I think doing it like that with a really nice stylized looking font would look sick! Something kinda futuristic with really sharp angles where the text is slightly exaggerated and almost looks like japanese characters. I used to have a font like that but lost it.

I like the cryptic look where people don't realize they are looking at a date until they stare at it for a second

Doesn't it look a lot better though? I like the fact that it will throw people off... I just think it looks very "meh" if you write the date out "08-09-2009", or 08-09-09... I like 8.9.9 the best...

Agreed, it looks much cleaner and much cooler.

My wife is a graphic designer, and she's always talking about it, fonts, the way things appear, etc... Its def all rubbed off on me!

we got inspired by real subaru car photos and just vector outlined each car in illustrater, it took forever but it looks really good. thats only as rough draft if its chossen well go back and clean it up. if we use the B.A.M. 9 we sould add the 09.
