how does that compare to att? What can you get at att for $19? 1.5Mbps lol, and 300kbps upload hahahah

and i DONT have anything else comcast, like their tv, etc.

That's a great price for Internet only! I wish they offered that here

Comcast speed is not as consistent as DSL or Uverse. It is faster for downloading, but if what you like to do is click around web pages, then the ATT service is more consistent and feels faster...I've had both now using the worst service I've ever had...much worse than ATT though the speed is the same, 6mb.
It really depends on what cablemodem you have, and how many users you have in the area.

I am running a DOCSIS2 Dlink 202 series cable modem (own my own, I don't rent their ****pile modems) and I am getting a consistent 30mbs down and 6mbs up, however I am throttled down to 22mbs down because of the older TZ-170 sonicwall I use for my VPN/Firewall, as soon as I get off my *** and put in the Pro-2040 I have sitting here that will go up to the full 30.

all for $48 a month...but what I want is verizon fiber, 120mb down 20mb up, $80 a month.

notice how no att users care to disagree, perhaps just 1

when I canceled my att dsl, and they asks why, i told them, and ask how much i was paying and at what speeds, all they could do is go by the books and offer me the "Elite" 6mbps package for $25 lol

Comcast is fine and all till everyone comes home from work. Then that pipe gets saturated. Especially in apartments. Has anyone signed up for xfinity yet?

I am waiting for FIOS to come around. COME ON FIOS!!!

^See, that's what I'm worried about. $50+ for internet is no bueno. I'll have to check with them and see what's available in my area. I've been happy with AT&T DSL for years, especially at $25/mo.

they just raised it a few month ago.. it was like $59.55 a month or something like that.. so it wasnt a huge increase but ohwell.

We keep getting things in the mail that are saying if we add tv or phone we would be paying less than we are now.. prolly just for the first 6 months or something tho. But have been too lazy to call and ask about it

That's the other problem...I will NEVER use Comcast for t.v. I've had DirecTV for over a decade and have been completely happy with them since the get go.

ATT Elite service here.. I've been happy with it. All I really use my internet for is torrent downloads and school work. The thing that keeps me away from comcast is their big brother mentality (my cousin's internet got capped for a month for downloading copyright content and downloading too much) and the slow peak times. Does anyone with comcast have a problem with this? Or should I call up comcast this weekend..

ATT sucks!!! The worst customer service I have ever dealt with! It toook me 2 weeks and 4 hours on the phone with them to get the story straight - apparently, they can't get a DSL service to my building...

3 months of Comcast - happy with service/speed/price

Comcast throttles torrents and resets my connection every 15-30 min. This sucks because my entire house loses Internet when someone is running a torrent. Otherwise, it's plenty fast and I no problem streaming 1920x1080 video.
