I wish I had some spare parts for you but I'm no help.
Like Leo said, did you check Irvington Arms in Fremont? They always have misc parts that normal shops wouldn't have so maybe they can help you... They have come through for me in the past... Its a small shop physically but they can order you just about anything... The guys that work there are really f'ing cool too. The owner has helped me out BIG time in the past.
Edit: I didn't read most of the thread which is why I sound like a total idiot
Sorry about that... hhehehe

Ha! I knew it! How much do we (Leo and I) rock?
hehhee, jk, I'm really glad you found the part, I know how it is to be missing a part like something that completes the rifle... I'm like a little child at christmas at times like that...lol. When I am missing a part I want it then and there and will drive anywhere to get it so I can have it as soon as humanly possible...
I know I'm not alone... You know you guys suffer from the same problem as I do!
Admit it!

Yeah, I have the black rifle sickness too. Over the last 10 years I have purchased 12 rifles, almost all of them being "evil".
My next project is going to be a 24" heavy barreled varmint upper receiver from Rock River Arms. It will be mated with a Bushmaster lower and is going to be my "Sniper project". I have everything ready for it including an insane scope (4-15x60), bipod, pistol grip, short sniper magazines, and a whole bunch other little things to make it into a super accurate paper-killing machine!
It will be my first semi-automatic "sniper rifle".
I have to admit however, as much as I like my AR-15s I love my M1A SOCOM II a lot better. The SOCOM II is the 16" version with the full forward rail system. I love the fact that it's .308 and that it's more accurate then my AR-15s and packs HELL of a bigger punch. I love every aspect of the rifle, everything from the way it feels in my hands, to the recoil feel, the quality of the rifle overall, and well, I just friggin LOVE my SOCOM II. Next full complete rifle I get will be an standard length M1A (National match)... Talk about an accurate rifle! It puts the varmint AR-15 to shame.
Only downfall to the M1A is the cost of ammo now... .308 is almost a dollar per bullet whereas 6 years ago it was .10cents a round.
Good thing I bought a HUGE stockpile years ago... I don't dip into my stockpile unless SHTF though...
Wow, talk about going off on a tangent... Sorry about that. Once you start me on firearms it's hard to stop.

Socom II is a badass gun except for its weight, its just too heavy to be tactical.
My current AR build is
RRA 16" Carbine Entry Upper Flat Top
Stag lower
RRA 2 stage trigger
RRA Detachable Carry Handle
Magpul trigger guard
Magpul UBR stock
Magpul Pmags
Heavy buffer
Chambered in 5.56 Nato =)
