I find that people that know how to use a computer very well have fewer problems than most. I have been providing tech support for both Mac and windows for over 10 years.
I am sure that I could run windows as successfully as I run my mac, in fact I have. I simply prefer a Mac and only have to use my roommates Dell for surfing (and troubleshooting his problems).

The myth of Windows instability and insecurity should be buried now that Win95-WinME has been long buried and burned.

I said software...as in microsoft office. It's worthless. It is so far behind it's rediculous. Unfortunately they have such a stronghold on the industry that they aren't forced to make necessary improvements. There are better options out there.
The currect OS is fine. I have no problems with it. I ran XP on my Dell. I find it funny that the new OS coming out has a butt load of features and styles stolen from OSX. I've run quite a few of their systems including NT variations. I used to work with my tech guy at SBC to stay current with that while the company itself fell behind..mac and PC as I had both.
Me personally...I had a PC for many years. I have worked on both and have no problems with it. I just prefer the apple. I find it easier, faster and more productive to work in.

well i've tried every other phone.
why not this one.
i have the black berry right now... and it works... one thing about phones is that they never really last for me... too many "dropped phones". but amazingly this blackberry has lasted w/ me.
the apple device seems like it can't take much abuse. if it is as fragile as my ipod photo, its prolly not gonna last w/ me.
oh btw... thx steve jobs for replacing my ipod photo twice!

For my money, I'll be waiting for the next iteration of Apple phones. Apple's going to go into the mobile market in a big way, probably aiming to be the next Nokia. The first phone's no more than a shot across the bow, to be honest.

This is probably the best quick vid of this crazy thing in action.
I saw it today. I can't stop laughing at all the people taking pictures of it with their cell phones. There is a huge theater and it is packed with people watching a demo of the product. IT spills out into the aisles.

You people and your crazy phones... I'm young and all I want a phone for is to talk. I never take pics, never text. I would never spend 500+ dollars on a friken phone.

Ive been holding out on getting an ipod for a while, waiting for one of the rumors to become a product, and here it is
. + I need a new phone, well don't need but want one, and 500 is basically 250$ for a phone and 250$ for an ipod. If you need both devices, its easier to look at it that way.

... it's still has a touch screen and no buttons.
I like what my iPod does and I like what my phone does and they work better seperately. Could you imagine the battery life of combining those two products and adding a huge screen to the equation?
In the end, all you paying for is a "Look what I got!" product. It's nothing more than the most expensive toy on the shelf. For a lot of people, that's all it needs to be for them to want it.

The phone is sexay.. BUT...
You have to figure in the cost of sending the phone to apple every year to replace the battery at $100. No removable battery on that phone + no way in hell that phone will get decent battery life = extra $100/year to maintain it. Plus you gotta add a data plan. Maybe its like my $10/month sprintpcs data plan. It could be like those $50/month blackberry plans.. who knows yet.
All that adds up to 1 EXPENSIVE phone. REALLY expensive considering you cant even put 3rd party applications on it.. making it not even a PDA/smartphone. The real draw to phones in this price range is all the 3rd party applications.
