I just finished installing it on my 2011 wrx with the hks harness. when the car is on or the power is in the on position and the hand break engage the turbo timer is on and working but the count down wont ever engage and i cannot get the timer to go into settings mode or anything. the time led just stays orange with "30" on the screen and thats all it does. what could be the problem?

before you mention it i got it for free so i thought id install it, i know they arent needed but i thought what the hell

 

So what happens when you pull your key out of the ignition while its running?

Does it just turn off the car or does the car keep running with :30 showing on the screen?

 

^ Remove your keys to activate the turbo timer. Also, make sure the hand brake is engaged, otherwise your car will shut off.

 

i fixed it guys thanks! turns out the splice thing that came with the kit didnt properly splice the wires, so i just used another simple tap and it worked

 

Now for the real question.....why the hell do you need a turbo timer on a Subaru?

 

i dont, subaru's dont need them because theyre water cooled turbos, yes i know that. i got it for free and decided to install it...
