I guess people can't handle camping out at the parking lot anymore.
I don't understand the hype...
On the bright side, if you are one of the folks who does autocross regularly it can be quite an ego boost to go run this event and SPANK some cars that would be a whole lot faster than you...IF they were well-driven
. I know my Impala SS got that reaction more than once in the past

I remember there was a red beetle spanked everyone many years ago.

Last I heard, the car was for w=sale and owner was getting out of racing...

I was going to go, but a change of plans at work happened so now Sunday at 12pm I am flying off to Nashville then driving to Bowling Green Kentucky.
I hear the only things to do there are eat fried pickles at toot's, and see who can out-drink the Californian boy. :x

mcdrama : Well, there is also that little car plant in Bowling Green that happens to make the C6 Corvette...including the Z06
. And yes, factory tours are available.
National Corvette Museum is there too. Well worth your time and the price of admission.

well, back to the topic!
I will be there and planning to run in the afternoon, but the registration closes at 9am. From what I remember, people have to wait in line for hours to run.
Is it a good idea to get there at around 8:30am, have the registration done and then leave for an hour or so, then come back for the course walk at lunch and then wait in line and run in the afternoon? I am thinking to run in the afternoon will give me some advantage because the morning cars will sweep the ground clean.
