Anyone see a huge *** shooting star?
I just saw the biggest and longest duration shooting star ever. Not like a thin white streak, but a fat white streak with fiery orange highlights and sparks.
It caught my eye as i was looking at the ground, i looked up and it lasted almost a full second, and 3 orange embers flew off the bottom.
I was seriously waiting for a KABOOM!
Either
The world is coming to an end
A UFO crashed into the Bay Area somewhere
Or somebody has some huge as fireworks that don't make any noise.
If i had to pick a direction, it would be shooting NEE 10:18PM from the SCMtns
Come back to this thread if you see something on the news tomorrow AM, I've never seen anything like it.

yeah, if i heard a boom, i'd go look for it. You think it would start a fire or something.

for sure, with air travels low profits, they cant afford to pay the airports $250 to extract crap in a sanitary manner. Lucky for me i live right under the SFO flight path

yeah it was weird, i was outside in the dark repairing cracks in some concrete i just poured hours before. I had a maglight on, and the star caught my eye, it had to be 90' out of my sight since i was standing and looking at the ground, i must have owl eyes.
Plus the window of sky i have is only as big as my houses footprint, since there are redwoods all around, it started in clear view then ended behind some redwood branches but i could still see huge ember streaks.
