Anyone painted their exhaust black?
Can anyone in the BAIC give me some comments/ tips on how i should paint the exhaust black to lower the bling on my car?
Any high temp paint suggestions? where to buy? what steps should I take for the best result?..etc...etc.....
Thanks!

just use flat back engine paint. Clean your muffler really well, use some 300-500 grit sand paper to scuff up the surface a bit, clean it real good, then lay on 4-5 thin coats
its just a muffler, its under the car, no fancy paint needed

here was my Greddy EVO with 1500 Degree flat black exhaust paint, with the tip cut off and painted black it was seriously the quietest, most stealth 3" catback on the planet, had this on my STI for about 60K miles with my GT30R all over the bay area, cant tell you how many times I would get tailed by cops looking for some reason to pull me over then break off after a couple blocks

if your muffler &/or piping is polished stainless, you can also just use one of those green scotchbrite or other brand scouring pads to roughen up the surfaces so paint adheres better. (don't forget to give the parts a rinse before painting tho....some people forget)
aluminized steel or raw stainless usually doesn't need much if any prep. you can just paint as is.
also, high temp engine paint is pretty easy to find nowadays, but you can also just use high temp bbq paint from home depot or other hardware stores.
