not what you were thinking. Its the plastic covering in the wheel well, that divides the space between the wheel and the engine bay/ headlights/grill ect.. basically keeps the dirt from flying off the tire and onto your goodies under the hood.

mine just fell off (passenger front) and was completely obliterated. I have an 04 wagon. If you know where I can get a replacement thats cheaper than dealership let me know. or even just the name.

Subaru Parts dept. it was like 65 bucks + clips

Mine flew out on the freeway

 

my front passenger ripped off while I was driving too! sad part is that you can still see parts of it off of 680 by my exit i take to go home. The body shop said it was $30 for just the liner.

 

yeah I just ordered it from the dealership for $41 w/out clips, they'll probably charge me another $20 for the clips. I guess it could be worse though.
