Anyone know a good tapas place?
Preferably on the Peninsula or the South Bay. Looking for a place to have dinner tomorrow, and where I won't be leaving behind an arm and a leg.

Cascal in Palo Alto and Gochi Fusion Tapas in Cupertino are the only two spots I've been to. Both were GREAT! When I went there, my friends and I were just starting our careers, so we didn't have the money to blow $60-100 for a nice meal (I still don't, to be honest). I think we walked out with $30 a piece at Cascal and $20-25 at Gochi.

Also been to Gochi in Cupertino. It's traditional Japananese tapas and you sit on the ground with shoes off, I believe. It's been a few years since I went there. Good stuff from what I remember.
Cascal is good, but I believe it's in Mtn. View, not Palo Alto. Too bad they stopped doing their Cuban sandwiches though - they were one of my favorite things to get there. Try the Grilled Serrano Ham & Date Brochette - they're delicious.
I've tried Gochi in Cupertino, and I wasn't exactly blown away - plus, there's usually a pretty long wait which I don't think it's worth. If you're in the South Bay, try Tanto. It's another Japanese tapas place, but less crowded.
There's also this place called Handjob Fetish

I have a Place I go to a few times a year, it's just south of Valencia on the mediterrainean coast in a small fishing village called Puerto de Mazzorron. It's a small Spanish village that serves the most amazing chappitos (deep fried baby squid) and tomatoes on toast. Definately worth a visit
