well because absinthe is illegal in CA, I can't say that I've ever had it... wink wink. But I can imagine...wink wink... that due to it's halucinigenic (sp?) properties, I'm not a big fan of it. I enjoy getting drunk, but the combination of the drunk feeling with a halucinigenic high is just something I'm not in to.

get it its cool, my roomate brought some back from europe, it was sephora i belive, good stuff, tastes like **** though, make sure that you get the 140 proof though, otherwise its a waste, pour over a sugar cube into a glass and light on fire, its a cool trick and my "roomate" ;-) says it gets you a bit trippy and drunk

I think the whole hallucination thing is a crock. Its like 150proof, I think that is what makes you see things!


(Its really good when you put a cub of sugar in a double shot.

 

Daniel most of the Czech absinthe is garbage, trust me, you do hallucinate on the real stuff.

I'm going to buy a nice bottle of some real good stuff sometime and I'll hit you up.

 

I got some stuff from Germany, and it did nothing for me other that f' me up! (it was supposed to be the good stuff)

 

Tastes horrible, never hallucinated on it. Just wanted to get sick from the awful taste. Go take some LSD if you want to hallucinate. Mushrooms also BATS BATS OH MY GOD BATS EVERYWEHRE FEH($&UYT)(*@H)&GH(H(

 

Jeremy, yeah, I have a bottle. I have never seen anything either, but I enjoy it as a drink itself....so there ya go. And like Daniel said, it is really good when you use the sugar and the absinthe spoon.

 

ever try shrooms? I want to when I can get my hands on some. I hear it is really instense, like everything still looks normal, but when you put you foot on the carpet it makes a ripple effect like water...etc.

 

it's not pouring the absinthe over the sugar cube.

you pour the absinthe in the glass, place the spoon and sugarcubes over it, and slowly drip super ice-cold water over the sugarcubes, and watch the absinthe "louche", or turn cloudy.

this is the traditional method of drinking it.

 

or putting the sugar cube on the spoon which has holes in it, pour the absinthe through the spoon and over the sugar into the glass, then light the sugar on fire, stir it up once the sugar has melted, and drink it....water isnt the only way. Then there are absinthe fountains and pipes as well.
