Anyone heard anything about the Avic Z1?

Anyone heard anything about the Avic Z1?
I mean this thing is beastly expensive but is it even worth it? How does the nav system compare to other Double DIN LCD Decks?
Are there any good cheaper alternatives?

I spoke with couple of guys that sell this thing and they all said this is the best they've seen. Then again, I am sure they are on commission.
I prefer something in dash and doesn't fold up. something with blue tooth, ipod support, touch screen, voice command. It turns out that was the only one I could find with all those features. But the price tag stopped me as well.

gps navigation: Avic Z1 > AVN6600
ipod controller: AVN6600 > Avic Z1

it seems like it jsut depends on what users find more important to them. apparently, the Eclipse navigation cannot search points of interest by category, e.g. Restaurants. you have to know the exact name, but the ipod controller is supposed to be phenomenal - fast, easy to use, has every ipod feature available. whereas the Avic Z1's ipod controller is really bad, but awesome navigation features.

I have a AVIC Z1 in my car right now. The only things i dont like about it is.. the voice command works a little slow, and it takes a little while to boot up. Other than that its a great head unit. I got it for about 1500 shipped from here: http://www.mytaxfree.com/ViewProducts3.aspx?ID=100
Shipping is extremely slow from these guys, but they have the best price.
I was considering a D2, but unless you don't want to be able to watch DVDs in your car, you shouldn't get it. The head unit only reads the navi dvd, but has no dvd video playback so you would have to hook up an external dvd player.
