My buddy has actually a couple AKC registered English bulldogs and i could get you the number of his breeder if you would like...I was going to buy one but i found out how much work it is to take care of a bulldog so i decided to get a crazy little jack Russell terrier lol

I just purchaced an English Bulldog this weekend actually and they had a litter of french bulldogs as well. They are a private breeder and we were allowed to tour thier facilities. They are awesome. They actually have a very rare blue frenchie but I think he was like 4k. Anyway I had a really great experience and would love to put you in contact with them. They are in Long Beach but if you are interested PM me an I will get back to you with thier info.

They did not have alot of dogs on hand as to give each one the attention and care they need, but i am sure they will still havethe frenchies as they were not going to be ready for another week.

I might still be interested in a bulldog but we are currently fostering an abused pitbull and honestly, we might keep him. I've fallen pretty hard for this pup

I'm all for adopting, I am also a big supporter of purchasing. The key is to be sure that the breeder you are purchasing from does what they do for the good of the breed. ANyone can throw a couple of dogs together to make a litter. Were the stud and b!tch verified with papers? How does the pedigree look? Do you see names appear more than once? Have they been certified by the OFFA http://www.offa.org/ and CERF http://www.vmdb.org/cerf.html. Are the papers limited registration? If a breeder is going through these steps before producing a litter, you can be certain the breeder is legit. If you're serious about purchasing a pure bred be certain you are doing your part to maintain the breed integrity. Understand that all pure bred dogs have some sort of characteristic that makes them unique. Reputable breeders tend to avoid breeding traits that lead to negative health, and breed for standards set by the AKC.
