Im trying to buy an e-drum set and some other shish. the stuff is expensive so any help would be awesome if you have a hookup or work there. TIA.

from taking a summer workshop at berklee college of music I have a 5% off card for there. I've used it twice and got 10% and 15% off because they had never seen the card before and if doesn't actually say how much its good for

I agree, they tend to give away a lot of free stuff. They may not be expensive but its free. From guitar polish, to cloths, to picks, to misc plastic pieces.

 

lol i know all the guys in the pro audio dept and the drum dept. Is that bad? :| you just have to be chill with them. Talk to them, be their friend. You can haggle pricing and get things down super low if you know how to work things right. Usually a hookup is pretty useless. I'll put it this way. I know the manager for GC concord, but I can get the same pricing from the guys at GC I know anyway, so I don't use him.

 

im very good friends with the san jose sales manager. we will just say i have spent well over 100k with guitar center in the last few years.

getting good prices there is really simple. Dont be an ***, and if you are buying some stuff that is very expensive, buy some other stuff thats cheap at the same time. IE Drumsticks and such, that way instead of trying to beat them up on the price of the expensive thing, they can just "throw in" the cheap stuff and they dont get introuble with the higherups.
