Anyone have comments on KB Homes and Midtown Plaza in SJ?
What up folks? I'm close to signing my life away on a new (to be built) condo at Midtown Plaza (Meridian and Race St near 280 in San Jose--where the Saddlerack used to be, apparently) and was wondering if anyone had any comments about this new community, or about KB Homes in general. I'm a first time buyer and don't know the game too well so any new/first home buying advice would be appreciated as well.
I haven't heard too many good things about KB Homes and the surrounding neighborhood isn't that spectacular, but I'm trying to get into the real estate market now and I need to move out of my current place within a year anyway.
cheers,
steve

We looked at those...they are super expensive and relatively small. Plus condo's take the hit first when the market flattens out. If you're going to spend ~400-500 on a newish condo, I'd say come to Mountain View and look at Whisman Station.

Thanks for the replies thus far...
I'm single and can't afford a single family home around here, so I settled for a condo/townhouse. Originally I was looking at 2br/2ba's that were <= 400k but got tired of looking at older pieces of crap and dealing with getting outbid. The one I'm getting is a 1br/1ba in the very low 300's (which is 100K+ less expensive than the next level up, which is a 2br/2ba model)
I found www.kbhomesucks.com this morning, and that is what prompted me to post on i-club.
Ugh. I have until Saturday to flake.
