I used to have white wheels, the cheaper answer is just car wax. If you wax the wheels, they clean up really easily, just a rag or paper towel.

I actually tried that and it really didn't work for me I was the passenger side front wheel and compared it to the drivers side and they were both dirty and were hard to remove stuff off of.

The Armor All stuff is pretty badass though. I sprayed about half a can ($8) on all the wheels and now all the brake dust comes off extremely easy.

No it's to help repel brake dust. It has actually held up very good so far. After driving about 300 miles, it looked like the wheels did after only 30-40 miles before I treated them. I'm on stock brake pads btw which are very dusty.
